Troy Weekley

[Verse 1]
Some love takes years to find its way
Some love just knows the very day
We were only seven, side by side
Two kids in school, too young to try
Then years rolled on to a wedding night
I saw those blue eyes in the candlelight

[Chorus]
And Baby, the way you look at me
Still sets this old heart free
Fifty-five years and I'm still your bride
With the good Lord walking by our side
All you need is love and understanding
And darlin', I found it all in you

[Verse 2]
We danced that night till the band went home
Two weeks later, I wasn't alone
Three months engaged, then a church and a ring
Troy Weekley, you gave me everything
Blond hair shining, that boyish grin
I knew right then where my life would begin

[Chorus]
And Baby, the way you look at me
Still sets this old heart free
Fifty-five years and I'm still your bride
With the good Lord walking by our side
All you need is love and understanding
And darlin', I found it all in you

[Bridge]
Through every storm and every prayer
I'd turn around and you'd be there
Hand in mine, on bended knee
You've loved our Lord and you've loved me

[Verse 3]
Two girls, a boy who call you Dad
The finest kids we could have had
Their loves became our children too
Six grandbabies who adore you
And now sweet Tilly Jo is here
Great-grandpa's smile from ear to ear

[Chorus]
And Troy, the way you look at me
Still sets this old heart free
Fifty-five years and I'm still your bride
With the good Lord walking by our side
All you need is love and understanding
And darlin', I found it all in you

[Outro]
Fifty-five years, and our story's still new
Troy Weekley, Baby, it's always been you
