Russ

[Verse 1]
Everyone could see it clear
The way you looked, the way you'd stay near
They kept on saying, love was true
But somehow I was blind to you
Then came the day that changed my mind
A gift so gentle, sweet, and kind

[Chorus]
Oh, yellow roses on my birthday morn
That's when I knew this love was born
A quiet man with heaven's grace
I found forever in your face
Thank You, Lord, for all You've done
For giving me this faithful one

[Verse 2]
We danced together, soft and slow
Right there where the kitchen light would glow
You held me close, so tenderly
Then whispered, "May I kiss you," oh so free
That was the moment, that was the start
You wrote your name upon my heart

[Chorus]
Oh, yellow roses on my birthday morn
That's when I knew this love was born
A quiet man with heaven's grace
I found forever in your face
Thank You, Lord, for all You've done
For giving me this faithful one

[Bridge]
Russ, you are my steady ground
The strength and shelter that I found
Through all the years, your love holds true
God gave me family in you

[Verse 3]
So this is just because, my dear
A song to say you're always here
Devoted, faithful, gentle, kind
No sweeter blessing could I find
Russ, my heart still beats your name
And after all, I love you the same

[Chorus]
Oh, yellow roses on my birthday morn
That's when I knew this love was born
A quiet man with heaven's grace
I found forever in your face
Thank You, Lord, for all You've done
For giving me this faithful one

[Outro]
Russ, my dance, my answered prayer
Forever grateful you are there
