The back story
November 18, 1995
Our whirlwind romance begins
We had our first date at Christmas, were engaged on Valentines Day, and married in less than a year.
June 25, 1998
Our little miracle arrives
Hannah is born early on Sunday morning. She overcomes more in her first ten days of life than most do in a lifetime.
2019
Just like that…
Our little girl is grown and ready to face the world. She’s learned to love Jesus and animals especially cows and has gathered an army of helpers who have carried her along the way.
2025
Here comes the storm
We made it through a pandemic and thought we had things all figured out when the ER trips began to dominate our schedule. Weeks in the hospital but we can’t figure out what is wrong. Time brings some clarity but everyday feels like we are trying to keep our head above water. Shunt malfunction, infection, neurostorming, a cold room for weeks…
August 2025
The other side
Finally the fatigue is beginning to fade and Hannah is gaining ground and a few pounds. Her voice has returned with her smile and laugh. We promise to never take it for granted again. We’ve leaned to pray, “We’re Christians now” as Hannah says.
