Robert

[Verse 1]
Snow is falling soft tonight
Candles glowing in the window light
I keep thinking back to how it began
I asked you once, then I asked again
By Lake Carroll on a park bench seat
We talked for hours, you swept me off my feet

[Chorus]
So here's my Christmas wish for you
A love that's steady, strong and true
You make me want to be a better man
Every single day I'll hold your hand
Robert, you're my home, my family
My love from now to forever, you and me

[Verse 2]
Twenty years our lives went round
Circling close on the same old ground
Passing by but never knowing
Where the winding road was going
Then one day it pulled us near
And I've thanked heaven every year

[Chorus]
So here's my Christmas wish for you
A love that's steady, strong and true
You make me want to be a better man
Every single day I'll hold your hand
Robert, you're my home, my family
My love from now to forever, you and me

[Bridge]
Gulf Shores sun and salty air
Sand and water everywhere
Lemons heavy on the backyard tree
A weekend written into me

[Verse 3]
Now the tree is trimmed in gold
There's a warmth that beats the cold
Every strength I've come to find
I found it with your hand in mine
Robert, underneath these lights
I'd choose you every single night

[Chorus]
So here's my Christmas wish for you
A love that's steady, strong and true
You make me want to be a better man
Every single day I'll hold your hand
You're my home, my heart, my family
My love from now to forever, you and me

[Outro]
Snow keeps falling soft and slow
There's just one thing I want you to know
From now to forever, it's you and me
