Leon

[Verse 1]
A simple hello in seventy-two,
An army uniform walked into view.
I never dreamed that ordinary day
Would bring the love that never fades away.
Now fifty years have come and gone,
And still my heart, it beats for one.

[Chorus]
Oh, Leon, my hero, my rock, my home,
Through every storm you never let me roam.
Faithful and honest, so strong and true,
Every breath I take, I'm loving you.

[Verse 2]
You carried courage across the sky,
A star of bronze for the reasons why.
A hero then to your band of men,
A hero now, again and again.
When my own heart forgot to beat,
You knelt right down, you would not retreat.

[Chorus]
Oh, Leon, my hero, my rock, my home,
Through every storm you never let me roam.
Faithful and honest, so strong and true,
Every breath I take, I'm loving you.

[Bridge]
They said no hope, but you held on tight,
A man of faith who fought through the night.
You're not just someone I love, it's true —
You're part of me in all I do.

[Verse 3]
Father to Kevin and Kent so dear,
PopPop to girls who hold you near,
Danyale and Lauryn, family strong,
You're the rock that holds us all along.
Happy birthday, my faithful friend,
I'll love you deeper till the very end.

[Chorus]
Oh, Leon, my hero, my rock, my home,
Through every storm you never let me roam.
Faithful and honest, so strong and true,
Every breath I take, I'm loving you.

[Outro]
Fifty years, and I'd choose you again,
My love, my heart, my forever, amen.
