Melinda williams

[Verse 1]
Some folks get a head start, a porch light burning on
Some folks walk that road alone before the break of dawn
You had no place to lay your head that graduation spring
But you walked across that stage like you could handle anything

[Chorus]
Happy birthday, Melinda, my Wonder Woman, my best friend
You hold this family together through the thick and thin
Three kids, one mortgage, and a love that never bends
Here's to you, girl, I'd choose you all over again

[Verse 2]
You went off to college with a fire in your eyes
I was right there beside you through the lean and hungry nights
Now you teach someone's children how to reach and grow
Then come home to our babies, give them all you know

[Chorus]
Happy birthday, Melinda, my Wonder Woman, my best friend
You hold this family together through the thick and thin
Three kids, one mortgage, and a love that never bends
Here's to you, girl, I'd choose you all over again

[Verse 3]
Gabriel, our oldest, Lord, he's growing tall
Got your steady heart, he stands up through it all

Anastasia, our little girl, the smartest one of all
She's got your fire, she'll never let it fall

And Walker, our newest, just three months old
So sweet in your arms, a little heart of gold

[Chorus]
Happy birthday, Melinda, my Wonder Woman, my best friend
You hold this family together through the thick and thin
Three kids, one mortgage, and a love that never bends
Here's to you, girl, I'd choose you all over again

[Bridge]
Ten years down this highway, and I still can't believe
You put up with a guy like me and never thought to leave

[Outro]
Blow out the candles, Melinda
My Wonder Woman, my best friend
