Kevin Brodin

[Verse 1]
A long road stretched to a town I'd never seen,
Two little girls beside me, holding onto a dream.
I'd tried to find forever, but it always slipped away,
So I whispered up a prayer, and I let the heavens lead the way.

[Chorus]
And love came like a whirlwind, right on time,
December brought a miracle that I could call mine.
You loved us from the very start, you made a house a home,
My rock, my answered prayer, I never walk alone.

[Verse 2]
No list of what I wanted, but He knew what I'd need,
A gentle, steady hero who would plant a family's seed.
You raised our girls, our son, with tender, faithful hands,
And now our grandchildren know a good and gracious man.

[Chorus]
And love came like a whirlwind, right on time,
December brought a miracle that I could call mine.
You loved us from the very start, you made a house a home,
My rock, my answered prayer, I never walk alone.

[Bridge]
Forty years of morning light,
Kevin Brodin, still you hold me tight.
Through every storm you stayed and stood —
My Big Daddy, strong and good.

[Verse 3]
You work with weary shoulders so your family can rise,
I see the love, the sacrifice, the joy inside your eyes.
Kevin, you're my safe place, my blessing and my friend,
And I would choose you all again, from beginning to the end.

[Chorus]
And love came like a whirlwind, right on time,
December brought a miracle that I could call mine.
You loved us from the very start, you made a house a home,
My rock, my answered prayer, I never walk alone.

[Outro]
Forty years, and still I'm yours,
Kevin, love, forevermore.
