Kendra May Carothers

[Verse 1]
Some lives are measured in years and miles
Some are measured in tears and smiles
Seven months and fourteen days
Was all this world could hold your grace
But heaven knows you filled each one
A tiny light, a blazing sun

[Chorus]
We let go and let Jesus decide
Held our breath as the angels arrived
And somewhere past the stars above
You're wrapped in everlasting love
Too beautiful for earthly ground
Kendra, heaven's keeping you sound

[Verse 2]
They searched and tried with all they had
Test after test, it hurt so bad
Your little body fought so hard
But you were strong beyond the scars
November took you from these arms
But nothing stole your precious heart

[Chorus]
We let go and let Jesus decide
Held our breath as the angels arrived
And somewhere past the stars above
You're wrapped in everlasting love
Too beautiful for earthly ground
Kendra, heaven's keeping you sound

[Bridge]
Two brothers and two sisters here
Still save a place for you each year
Twenty-two candles we would light
On March the nineteenth, burning bright

[Verse 3]
We would have loved to watch you grow
Your laughter filling up our home
But pain like this won't fade or bend
And love like ours will never end
So on your birthday we look high
And find you dancing in the sky

[Chorus]
We let go and let Jesus decide
Held our breath as the angels arrived
And somewhere past the stars above
You're wrapped in everlasting love
Too beautiful for earthly ground
Kendra, heaven's keeping you sound

[Outro]
Nothing makes the missing less
But Kendra, you were heaven's best
