Ken

[Verse 1]
There's a porch light on at the end of the road
A coffee cup warm when the mornings turn cold
Some hearts were made to carry the load
Back in October of '97
I said I do and found my heaven
In a hand I promised I'd never let go

[Chorus]
You're my strength when I am weak
The safest place I'll ever be
You give it all, never ask for more
Ken, you're my shelter from every storm
I'd choose you a million times again
My home, my heart, until the end

[Verse 2]
We prayed for the babies that were slow to come
You spared nothing till our dream was won
Then you rocked them gently in the porch chair
Cherished every moment being there
I watched a new daddy, tender and sweet
Fall in love with every tiny heartbeat

[Chorus]
You're my strength when I am weak
The safest place I'll ever be
You give it all, never ask for more
Ken, you're my shelter from every storm
I'd choose you a million times again
My home, my heart, until the end

[Bridge]
The whole town knows that heart of yours
The shirt off your back, an open door
A room in our house, a dollar to lend
For anyone needing a friend

[Verse 3]
You work to the bone for all of us
Our fearless protector, the one we trust
You made sure we were happy, safe, and loved
And handed us the world, the stars above
Now we're growing older side by side
And I'm honored, Ken, to be your bride

[Chorus]
You're my strength when I am weak
The safest place I'll ever be
You give it all, never ask for more
Ken, you're my shelter from every storm
I'd choose you a million times again
My home, my heart, until the end

[Outro]
Porch light's on, the coffee's warm
I'm grateful, love, for all you are
A million times, I'd choose you still
