Jenny

[Verse 1]
There's a bench where two roads met,
Seventeen and no regrets,
Young hearts learning how to stay.
Through the sunshine and the rain,
Through the joy and through the pain,
We kept finding our way.

[Chorus]
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted,
He mends what the world tore apart.
So lay it down, let the healing start,
There's hope for a weary heart.
Peace is coming, hold on tight,
Faith will carry you through the night.

[Verse 2]
Oh Jenny, you're stronger than you know,
Carrying love wherever you go,
Still bandaging wounds old and new.
But you don't have to fight alone,
Grace will lead you gently home,
And I am here for you.

[Chorus]
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted,
He mends what the world tore apart.
So lay it down, let the healing start,
There's hope for a weary heart.
Peace is coming, hold on tight,
Faith will carry you through the night.

[Bridge]
Forgive the past, set it free,
Let it drift back out to sea.
The morning breaks, the shadows fade,
You're loved more than words can say.

[Verse 3]
Sierra, Isaac, Eli too,
Little Lulu holds to you,
A grandbaby on the way.
Jenny, look at all you've grown,
A garden that your love has sown,
Blooming bright each day.

[Chorus]
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted,
He mends what the world tore apart.
So lay it down, let the healing start,
There's hope for a weary heart.
Peace is coming, hold on tight,
Faith will carry you through the night.

[Outro]
Rest your soul, my Jenny dear,
Every step, I'm standing near.
The healing's yours, the peace is real,
Give it time, and you will heal.
