Your song

My Slim Adonis
Read the lyrics
[Verse 1] There's a story 'bout a screen and a smile, A face that made me pause for a while. At seventy-two, I almost turned away, But somethin' in that moment said, "stay." We talked for hours, lost track of time, And the magic stirred this heart of mine. [Chorus] Oh, what a love, what a beautiful thing, We met in the winter, but he gave me spring. Hand in hand, heart to heart, side by side, A courage I found I no longer hide. Celebrate this life, celebrate this day, Love came late, but love came to stay. [Verse 2] From May to August, a birthday lunch in the sun, I met your friends and I knew you were the one. By October, we couldn't bear to part, December the twenty-sixth, I gave you my heart. They all said it wouldn't last, oh, but look at us now, Still standin' here, still keepin' the vow. [Chorus] Oh, what a love, what a beautiful thing, We met in the winter, but he gave me spring. Hand in hand, heart to heart, side by side, A courage I found I no longer hide. Celebrate this life, celebrate this day, Love came late, but love came to stay. [Bridge] My slim Adonis, my Jules, my own, Two artists painting a life we've grown. [Verse 3] Seventy-nine, and I'm number 9, Your Dyane, your Rubenesque valentine. Grateful for every sunrise we share, For the brave new beginning, the answered prayer. Happy birthday, my Jules, my dearest friend, This love story has no end. [Chorus] Oh, what a love, what a beautiful thing, We met in the winter, but he gave me spring. Hand in hand, heart to heart, side by side, Forever your Dyane, forever your bride. [Outro] Celebrate this life, celebrate this day, My Jules, my love, you're here to stay.

Boris and Zaza

Boris and ZAZA So a new day, a new adventure. It was back on July first that I met Julian in person for the first time.We ate at the Hillstone Restaurant, dining and talking for 4 hours. When he walked me to my car I reached for his hand, It was magic. Although I was worried about his tremors, and friends and family members told me not to see him again, I could not get his face out of my mind. We dated on and off but texted and spoke on the the phone every day. I had promised I would go to Texas to spend time with Allison and during that month I spoke with Julian several times a day. When I returned to Phoenix, he picked me up from the airport, and I stayed with him for three days. It was magic. We talked about being roommates , I moved into his bungalow. On Oct 10 I received a call for help from my sister and left for California.I had to leave Julian once again , and my sister and I began a three week clean out of the family home. We decided it was time to sell the house and I wanted to move back to Phoenix with all my worldly possessions. We worked nonstop, until October 31, when Julian joined me. I needed him to meet my family. We spent time with Audra and Michael and had lunch with Adam and Jehfree and of coarse bonded with Denise and Jeff, the supreme chef himself. We culled out duplicates of household items and separated all the art supplies. We had three garage sales and many many trips to thrift stores , goodwill, and other non profits to disperse of many treasures. On Nov.7th we rented a 15 foot U-Haul and had it packed. On the 8th we said our goodbyes to all the family and friends as well as mom and dad at the cemetery, and headed on a new adventure, back to Phoenix . My sweet friend Thom, who was such a great help throughout out the month came to bid us farewell. He said we are Boris and ZAZA, unexpected partners in life. Two Mexican’s and a u-haul, who would have ever thought?

The Remodel

After living in the bungalow for a little over a year, we realized that living with only one bathroom was just not ideal, Jules designed an addition that would include a new Madter Bedroom with a walk in closet and master bath. It also included a dining room , laundry room , and a roomy pantry. Bob and Phyllis Barbee offered us their guest casita to live in for what we were told would be 3 to 5 months, however it turned out to be just short of a year!. It was surprising how easy it was living in a three room casita . We spent Thanksgiving and Christmas with them as family.. in addition to designing the addition, Julian also designed the front of the house and all your landscaping. Jules is a creative and amazing designer!
