Her story…..
I wanted to make something special for my daughter on her birthday. My brother did one of these for my sister-in-law for their anniversary. I thought it was so beautiful, it brought me to tears. I knew this was what I wanted to do. It’s something that she can listen to for many years, long after I’m gone.
September 30th 1987
The day you were born…..
Shortly after you were born in the middle of the night you were flown to University of Iowa in Iowa City from Hampton. You my dear were a very sick little baby girl. Evidently my blood and dads are not compatible so you were like being poisoned and had to have a total of 3 blood exchanges where they took your blood out and it was replaced with donor blood.Your spleen and liver were 3 x the normal size.You were the sickest of the 3 of you kids. Dad and grandma were there with you. When I was released from the hospital and went home with no baby, let me tell you, that was the hardest most difficult day I had gone through. The next day we got a call saying you could come home. I couldn’t wait. The day after we got you home I sat on the couch holding you all day. Thank you for being you and bringing us joy. Watching you grow and spread your wings has kept us on our toes. Lots of ups and downs, a lot! Our bond has stayed strong at least most of the time. Never ever doubt our love for you. You’ll always be my sweetie, my baby girl always always and forever. Stay happy. Laugh. Take time for yourself, stay true to yourself. Always listen to your gut instincts. One day when I’m gone always know I’m still here standing beside you, talk to me, I’ll be listening and know how very proud both dad and I are of you Love you always always Mom
Grandma Rose
Amber lost her Grandma on July 6th of 2020. They were always close and had a special bond the older Amber got. They made many many memories over the years. Grandma Rose was so much fun to hang out with. I know she would’ve loved Kee!
